SHADE LONDON TENNIS DRESS.. SO 90'zzzz

[Dress - Shade London]
[Bag - Monki]
[Jacket - Afflecks]
[Shoes - YRU]
[Sunglasses - Primark]
[Necklace - Tatty Devine]
[Fishnet Socks - Primark]

I haven't had much time to post this week because of me getting a new (old) job and trying to sort out Germany as that's where I am going on Saturday! I thought I'd show off this dress again because I think is super cute! and very 90's sports! I've always really liked the stuff from Shade London but since I am a poor student was never able to afford anything from there, UNTIL my cute boyfriend bought me this for my 20th birthday!
Pairing this gorg dress with my now not so white YRU sandals and some cutie fishnet socks that match my jacket and hair was a fab decision, I feel so coordinated right now.
The sporty feel from this vintage bomber complimented the dress as it's quite hard to find something to go well with it especially because it's so summery and short, it's meant to be worn alone but today was too cold for that!
My bag was a huge bargain from MONKI in the sale for £10 got it around april time and think it's sold out now!

I do love this dress a lot, but it is quite see through, have to have some certain underwear (if any) to wear with it because the slightest pattern would show so bad underneath! So I would definitely either, if you're close to a 10 get the next size up or make sure you're at least a 6-8 to fit in the dress without it being see through!

Please excuse my awful colour hair in this post, I am trying at the moment to get it a nice subtle EVEN colour but as you can imagine its easier said than done! If you want to know more about my hair I have a previous post on what I used/how I did it!

Still in love with the ombrè lips though I used the purple shade from makeup revolution and the black shade from MUA both lipsticks £1 each and then used a brush to create an ombrè effect on the outside.

FLORAL 70's OOTD featuring FISHNET TIGHTS AND YRU

When I was raking out my wardrobe from the past 7 months at uni (the time I had my bad shopping obsession) I found this gem of a dress although it's officially the shortest dress in history! I also got a size about too thinking it would be longer! The dress is from Primark it only cost me £3 which is a bargain! and I didn't even know it had flared sleeves till I got it home!

My fishnet tights are from eBay only a couple of quid as I wanted big holed ones and my YRU platforms like usual, the link is in one of my previous posts but some people are selling them on depop if anyones interested! I got my harness from eBay too and my necklace from tatty devine, see previous post for link and write up about my new necklace!

I do think this dress is a little short but I don't think getting larger sizes will help as they get wider rather than longer so don't be fooled! and also i'm only 5ft6 so it's not like I am terribly tall, it maybe worth wearing a pair of cycling shorts underneath or hot pants but everyones different!

I am struggling with what hair colour to experiment with next as my colourants fade so quickly does anyone have any suggestions with what hair colour I can go next?

Thank you for reading!

PEACE!

THE PEACH VINTAGE JEANS

I can't believe I haven't done a post about these jeans yet.. These are my favourite vintage jeans in a washed out orange colour, so washed out they're more of a peachy pink now! ]
I got them last year in a sale at a vintage shop called POORBOY BOUTIQUE which is a lovely vintage shop in Hull. My particular jeans were only £3! probably seems more astounding then it actually is as luckily Hull is one of the cheapest place to live in the UK.

Anyway back to the jeans.. who needs me blabbing on about where I live!
They're mom/slouchy jeans so they're as comfy as all hell and because they are preloved they are all broken in and snuggly! I know mom/slouchy jeans are not very flattering on some figures... LIKE MINE! but who cares I love a good pair of mom jeans!

I've paired my fabulous peach jeans with my new TOPSHOP body with star nips which I caught in the sale for £3 nothing like this ever fits me right because of my stupid oddly sized boobs which NOBODY wants if any one else has this problem.. I feel ya sista! and am always open to any help which makes it not as bad as it is so feel free to comment with any help!
I also have put in my YRU platform shoes which are gorgeous too, I just haven't got the gist of walking around on anything but totally flat ground yet!

Hope you enjoyed reading my short post feel free to comment and share! x

OO and PS the necklace and the belt are also from topshop! <3

MARKET DAY! am I the bargain queen?

Walton Street Market Hull is a market near KC stadium in Hull which I have been going to since I was younger with my nan. I haven't been in years because of an incident with my nan when we went (she was almost pick pocketed) but decided to give it another go today and I was SO glad I did.
I spent £20 in all and everyone knows how cheap Hull is for everything anyway but today topped the bill!

I firstly walked past a stall where a man was selling some AMAZING shoes, all £5!! the shoes included things by brands such as RocketDog, Steve Madden, Windsor Smith and JuJu and YRU!! As you know from other posts I LOVE my YRU platform sandals, and when I saw these in my size for only £5 each I had too they're to die for! How gorgeous are they!? I couldn't say no,  I will be going back next week to see if he has anymore bargains like that!

After being SO excited with this purchase I knew I was on a role so I had a good gander through all the sale rails!

More stuff I bought throughout my day at Walton Street Market was this green crochet halter neck dress only £1! ONE POUND! so I had too! I got many £1 specials as well today such as these amazing things...

Pink and purple sparkly 90's vest... £1!!

Gold and orange/red halter neck top LOVE... £1!!

Pink and orange stripe crop top.... £1!!!

Hand painted Catrina Hull Artist tshirt, unsigned... £1!!! (BARGAIN)

Pink tie back and neck top only £1!!!!

and finally...

this gorg 90's lilac snake print dress! amazing! only £1!!!

I also bought my mum a top that cost £2 so ALL that for only £20 I was astounded and can't wait to go back next week, so glad I got over my pick pocketing fear and get up and go to Walton Street Market!

I hope to see you all there next Wednesday 8-2! (bargain central)

Thanks for reading and if you have got any bargains recently please comment on what you've got I am ALWAYS happy to read about good bargains! #BARGAINQUEEN!

Outfit of the day, handmade clothing all the way!

As I study fashion (even though now its fashion comms but it was design) I thought i'd put my trade to good use. I've been looking into buying some flares in velvet but people were selling for £30 and at the moment I just couldn't afford it. A jobless fashion shopping addicted student is not the best thing to be when you have more time on your hands than a watch. An impulse buy at my local haberdashery shop (BOYES) of 3M of dark purple crushed velvet fabric sparked up my brain as to creating my OWN flares!
After tracing my other flares to make a quick pattern I was on my way! How astounded was I when they came out as good as they did is unreal. (in my opinion nothing I do comes out as good as I thought)

With the amount of time I have on my hands at the moment as well I decided to make two matching tops..TWO!

I made both a point up halter-neck tie back and a elasticated boob-tube (both beginner garments I know but simple but effective is the way forward)

I am thinking of making these sets for sale and selling them on my DEPOP account (USERNAME: annahodgson) I am just trying to perfect the pattern.
I am very happy with my garment creations today I will be making more soon and putting them on my blog too!

Thanks for reading dolls!

A Little Bit of FLUFF!

As i'm selling my full life on depop I've been going through all my 10 drawers and 2 cupboards full of stuff and I came across this cute little zig zag two piece that I made for myself before I went to uni last year but didn't get chance to wear (it's on my depop now, username: annahodgson)

and also found the AMAZING furry backpack that I bought myself a few weeks ago in Manchester Topshop, it's so cute and its also a good size! I daren't use it yet it's that cute i'm scared it will get dirty but then again what doesn't when you wear it!

I also wore today my Cheer Up Clothing socks and my YRU flatform sandals which are still the best pair of shoes I have ever bought even though I fall about ALL over the place in them but I think thats just because I am a wobbly walker!

Just in case any of you want to know where I have got my stuff from:
Backpack - Topshop - £26
Two Piece - Handmade by me
Sunglasses - Primark - £3
Lipstick - Superdrug MUA - £1
Socks - Cheer Up Clothing - £5.99
Shoes - YRU Flatforms - £13.75

Thanks for reading, if theres anything you want me to do a blog post on whether it be styling, fashion, jewellery, reviews, beauty, makeup then feel free to email me. Contact details on my homepage!

SHADE LDN LOVIN'

Sorry I haven't posted in a while, had some things going on uni, bday etc. but after my deadline I will be back with a BANG!

Todays post is about an outfit that I can't wait to wear properly but one, it needs to be a bit warmer outside and two i need to get some more suitable underwear as it's V see-through!

The outfit is quite sporty and the dress by SHADE LONDON is quite tennis like, it's a great fit but is a tiny bit see through but with a nice white set of underwear would be perfect. (although if you can get away without wearing a bra that would be best). The bag by LAZY OAF on ASOS (NOW SOLD OUT), comes without the holographic eyebrows, i added them myself for a shoot. The sandals are 3inches high by YRU bought from SPORTS DIRECT only £13.75 may I add, and they are the most AMAZING things I have ever bought and would recommend to the moon and back. Finally the jacket is a vintage nike patterned bomber jacket which was bought from Manchester!

Thank you for reading my post, I will be doing more blog posts on styles bits by me and will also blog about styling on other people too, watch this space
