THE RAGGED PREIST FEAT. O MIGHTY

[Coatigan - The Ragged Preist]
[Top - O-Mighty]
[Jeans - Levi]
[Shoes - Topshop]
[Sunglasses - Boohoo.com]
[Septum Ring - Ebay]

Sorry again I haven't posted in a while I've been working all hours god sends to earn some money for my trip to London next weekend! I'm going to try and post as much as possible before London this week and then whilst i'm in London too.

For this outfit I wanted to show off my new coatigan from The Ragged Priest it's in the sale reduced from £90 to £30 which I thought was REALLY good and had too. (Mainly because I couldn't afford the Lovers and Drifters one as they're like £100+) This one is long too so it will be great for autumn/winter and is all snuggly! I paired with my "Just Fuck It" halter neck top from O - Mighty because I haven't found a time to wear it yet and I personally really love it! (also comes in black with white writing)

As my jacket was from The Ragged Priest I wanted my jeans to be as well but I couldn't get some in time for this styling so I had to make do with what I had. Using a pair of my old Levi jeans I picked up for £1 at a charity shop I got jiggy with the scissors and had a go myself, they should get better and fray a lot more every time they're washed, but for the first time wear I don't think they're too bad. The cutting didn't take long, I just googled what a pair looked like (even though I had a rough idea in my head I wanted to clarify) I wanted to fray the part at the top which looks like shorts a bit more but my fingers were hurting by this point because fraying jeans in all ways is time consuming and frustrating, especially when the washer can do it on its own!
How adorable are my new sunnies by the way? I LOVE them! £2 only from Boohoo.com and with all the postage deals they do, getting them to you can be super cheap! I was quite unsure about buying sunglasses that weren't black because sunglasses always look great in black but I took a chance and it paid off they actually go with my hair too which is a bonus.

And finally my lovely Topshop shoes.. Great amazing lovely shoes, BUT I had to get 2 sizes bigger than I usually am to fit in them. A size 8 was the only 1 that would fit me properly which I am very sad about but then again nobody can see the size when they're on your feet! Another thing is the fact the top band strap is not very comfy and puts a lot of stress on that part of the foot and makes it painful if you wear them for too long. I wore them for a night out and when I got home my feet felt bruised, like REALLY bruised. It doesn't stop me from wearing them though because I love them and when you've only paid £13.50 for them you can't really complain can you! (even though I kind of just have)

In conclusion though, this outfit may make it onto the 'take to London' list for the weekend! :)

PINK COORD OOTD PRIMARK

So what to do when you buy something because it's cheap and too big... I turn it into a halter neck top so it fits! This ootd was a large size 20 jumper from Primark with long sleeves and a matching skirt (size 12) and it just looked silly so big but for £1 I couldn't resist!

I tried it on today because I thought it would be perfect to do a blog post with and I just looked lost in it! After a while I thought of all the things I'd made in the past year that would be easy to just turn it into and a halterneck being so on trend was the first thing I thought of! The secret to making halternecks is that vital triangle shape, as long as it looks mostly like a triangle it will be fine!

After tieing it tightly around me it fit nice and snug! And I could wear it like any normal two piece! Paired with my new black bra top to give some back detail I thought it would be a nice cute little summer outfit for holiday!

So if you're ever wanting to spice an old jumper or a top up, turning it into a tie back halterneck top will always work perfectly!
Also I made the Pom Pom earrings which I'm majorly proud of!
If any of you have any design tips and cheats that you've found feel free to comment and share them with the world if you would like any more information about the tie back halter I've made or any other questions feel free to contact me!

Outfit of the day, handmade clothing all the way!

As I study fashion (even though now its fashion comms but it was design) I thought i'd put my trade to good use. I've been looking into buying some flares in velvet but people were selling for £30 and at the moment I just couldn't afford it. A jobless fashion shopping addicted student is not the best thing to be when you have more time on your hands than a watch. An impulse buy at my local haberdashery shop (BOYES) of 3M of dark purple crushed velvet fabric sparked up my brain as to creating my OWN flares!
After tracing my other flares to make a quick pattern I was on my way! How astounded was I when they came out as good as they did is unreal. (in my opinion nothing I do comes out as good as I thought)

With the amount of time I have on my hands at the moment as well I decided to make two matching tops..TWO!

I made both a point up halter-neck tie back and a elasticated boob-tube (both beginner garments I know but simple but effective is the way forward)

I am thinking of making these sets for sale and selling them on my DEPOP account (USERNAME: annahodgson) I am just trying to perfect the pattern.
I am very happy with my garment creations today I will be making more soon and putting them on my blog too!

Thanks for reading dolls!
