Most amazing Primark bargain yet! (confessions of a bargain hunter)

As people who know me know that I am a HUGE bargain hunter and today I think was another high point in my bargain shopping career. I also am a big lover of Primark which makes this bargain even better, cause everyones used to getting that one pair of jeans for like £10 and being like YAY but 8 items of clothing and possibly 3 outfits for £11 for summer has to be a good score.

Today I went on a small shopping spree to see what Liverpool City Centre had to offer and I have to share with you my £11 Primark shop! I usually get good things from Primark especially when I used to work there because it was so easy to get first dibs on things you wanted before they sold out, or sale items before they fully went on sale. Today however I was amazed by the £1 sale, it usually has long sleeved £3 t-shirts in in disgusting colours that nobody wants in the odd sizes that don’t fit anyone but in the Liverpool store this Saturday I was greeted by the £1 sale, which was full of lovely items. During my shop I only spend £11!!! I got 7 £1 sale items and a £4 top with shells on and I really need to share, because I’m so impressed, I will probably modify some of the garments further for this next season but for £1 who cares!

I was even more amazed at the fact I was able to find matching sets, not just one either I found 2 matching sets in this sale which is astonishing especially for Primark!  I do think these buys will be perfect SS 15 especially if I get rid of some sleeves on the sweaters as the pink one has a little stain on the sleeve but I can sort that out no sweat I am still over the moon with the amount I got for my money. Who says fashion has to be expensive. I should be doing a style shoot/post next week with these items ready for this season so keep your eyes peeled and in the mean time get your backsides to Primark guys!

SS15 MUST HAVES PART 1.. CLOTHES

As I haven't done a clothing blog post today about how I wear a certain outfit as it was raining I've been browsing the internet all day looking for things to save up for in this new season SS15. I've chosen 6 things that I NEED this season and I just needed to share it, I will link all the items up to the websites to make life 10000x easier.

The Jaded London iridescent sequin bomber jacket is in my must have because look at it, it's completely amazing and would stand out so much in the sun! it's £100 on the Jaded London website, BUT it's also in the sale on Urban Outfitters for £60 but they only have small left and they're gonna sell out soon!

This Discount Universe mesh midi dress with the sequin eyes has made it because it's so cool literally with a pair of shorts and a bra it will make an amazing outfit! It is a bit pricey but all the more worth saving for, works out about £161 without postage and other charges, but still amazing, would look fab at a festival!

Now Phoebe from MIC is one of my fav characters as she's a feisty individual who doesn't take the shit! Illustrated People brand is just so up and coming, Topshop at Oxford Circus is full of it at the moment (as well as JADED LONDON) This top made my must haves because it's simple and the Mandarin graphic words are so in right now, the style of tee as well is a must have for just chilling about and at £30 it's a great buy!

Jaded London again making it into my top faves, I am so up for this brand this season it's big, so big. This unitard I really love because it's so colourful and would look fab in the summer, especially for festivals and for only £48 it's almost a full outfit, match it will a gorg plain bomber and you're away.

ASOS is reliable for the majority of fashionable amazingness these days and this leather biker jacket is just the best. It's going to be such a hit with the 70's craze coming back in, flares, mini skirts and knee high boots will be paired with this lovely leather and that's why it's made my top must haves.

This Jaded London Unitard is just the best (I know i've tried it on, it is THEEE BESST) I fell in love with this unitard the first time I laid eyes on it. I can safely say it was love at first sight. I think this is more of a spring then summer but it would look gorgeous on a night out. But even in summer it will be amazing in the sun reflecting it. PLUS only £65!!!

I will be doing a must have accessories and makeup too soon...

OOTD.. FEAT The Ragged Priest, Nike and Adidas

Haven't had much chance to post my own style recently as I have been busy with uni work and finding a house for next year but today I finally found the time to do a quick shoot.

Todays outfit I thought would be quite casual as it's what I feel comfortable in, as every girl needs a black pair of skinnies, rain or shine.

My outfit today is my casual town outfit. I have paired a pair of DIY cold knee high waisted jeans with an acid wash cami from PRIMARK. The socks are also from PRIMARK (I have recently done a blog post about fishnet socks if you would check it out) and they are paired with my Adidas Superstars. Keeping my head warm in this coldish weather is my trusty the ragged priest hat in lilac which i LOVE as it is something that FINALLY goes with my hair colour. Finally my jacket was my bargain buy from Afflecks in Manchester only £9.99 vintage NIKE bomber shell jacket which is great because it's not too thick or thin so it will be perf for spring summer 15 and if it gets too warm can always wrap it around my waist!
On the profile shot I have two chokers on, one is a rainbow choker from Afflecks £2.50 and the other is a diamond 90's style chain choker necklace which was £1.50 from ASOS

I am always on the look out for new styles, I will try to test out more products and outfits. I have some makeup and other products to try out and do some blog posts on so keep an eye out.
Thank you for reading

OH MY FISH...NET SOCKS!

Don't get me wrong fishnet used to remind me of fancy dress and the 80's but I do love my fishnet socks I've had SO many pairs over the past few years but they are so tiny and wash so small that I always lost them or at least one of them! So I thought that when I got my newest pair I would do a blog post about them as they're so cheap but so versatile. I got my newest pair from Primark (of course) they're only £1 a pair so it would be stupid not to buy some. They also come in white, pink, blue, orange and red which will cover ALL outfit combinations. My personal favourite is the black pair as they would be the best to go with my outfit choices.

I do enjoy the fact they go with almost any shoe! I've taken a few photos of what type of shoes I wear them with and feel free to comment if you would want to see me try anything else to see what I wear them with, I'm always so up for suggestions.

I have paired my fishnet socks up with some Adidas Superstar trainers, I have linked the website up but the ones I have are last years collab with Topshop but they're on the adidas website for £65!

I have also paired them with these slip-on shoes and pointed sandal shoes, both from Primark. The slip-ons are £4 and the pointed sandals are £3 which are SUCH good prices.

I do hope to see everyone with these fishnet socks on this summer because they are a must have so cheap and cheerful, just make sure you don't loose them in the wash!

A small post about my favourite nail varnish

Well I've been wearing black on my nails since primary school when it was 'goth-like' and ugly but for the past good few years black has been a colour that every girl has in their nail varnish box and I thought I'd share my favourite as I was topping up mine last night. My ultimate black varnish is by the make MUA and is called pitch black, I also have the blue and purple to match which I have photographed which are just as amazing. The best part about these varnishes is they're £1 each!! I used to think the more expensive the varnish the longer it stays but that's so not true, after buying many o.p.i nail varnishes I have noticed it doesn't even stay on longer and it's harder to keep up with all the colours because they're so expensive but with the MUA ones colours are coming in all the time and as they're so cheap you can mix and match whenever you want!! a girl can never have too many nail varnishes

It's in such a cute bottle with 'MUA' stamped in the glass which is a fab addition! I usually apply two coats and then my top coat which is also a nail strengthener by Sally Hanson as my nails are as flimsy as hell thanks to fake ones!
Both the blue and the purple are up to the same standards and look just as glossy and nice as the black. I would recommend these to anyone as you don't need to apply 50 coats before you can see a colour change as with that comes sitting for 23 days waiting for them to dry and this dries super fast wave your hands around and blow on them for a min or two and you're good to go!
I get these varnishes from super drug as sometimes they're quite hard to find but their website is just as good and also super drug doesn't usually charge postage to store if you wanted to get online.

MUA also does a range of other cosmetics which I will do a post about their eye shadows and lipsticks as I use them everyday and never leave the house with it some MUA on.

Thanks for reading my short post on MUA

Tassels & Flares! Item of the week!

hey guys thought I'd do a little post about an item of clothing I've just recently bought to try a different style of blogging, if it works and I carry on doing this style I assure you the photographs will be better than this as its my first go.

So H&M have released a small range for/by Florrie who is an up and coming musician who is actually really good and they have brought out a black body-con dress with long sleeves and tassels, it looks amazing and the best thing is its only £7.99. Unfortunately it's sold out online but it's still possible there is some in store. One thing I will say though, similar to the rest of H&M clothing the sizing is small, i'd say up to 1 size smaller really as I had to get a 12 and I usually take a 10. the tassels though are a great idea because they don't go too far up the arm so it's not all bunchy!
This is the dress as you see its like gorg on Florrie! I just wanted to show that it was a great buy as it doesn't just work as a dress but a top too for this seasons flares trend! As I say it's the first time I've done photos of myself in an outfit but I thought I may as well because ATM i'm in the middle of loosing weight so they can't get any worse I suppose! But I really did like this dress and I also thought it went so well with the thigh high boots and for the price it's an unmissable bargain!

Hair: BLEACH LONDON
Eyes: SUGARPILL - CANDYCRUSH
Lips: BELISSIMO GLITTER LIPS
Dress: H&M FLORRIE TASSEL DRESS
Trousers: SNAKESKIN FLARE TROUSERS - BOOHOO
Boots: THIGH HIGH BOOTS - EBAY CHINA

So I hope you like my little post about what I could call my item of the week, I just wanted to share my love for this dress as it's amazing! So if you want my to try anything else and write about I can do just email me, thanks for reading!

IT'S LOVERS DAY SOON!

Hey girls since it's valentines day soon I thought I'd do a quick post about my top picks to buy your guy!

I chose these six things because I wanted to show things that are a range of prices as anyone can go out and overspend on their other half but it's good to have a look at other things that are a bit more affordable. My personal favourite is the watch from ASOS as it's such a good price for something thats stylish and that he can keep, i'm all about valentines day being about more accessories than clothes as they're less disposable unlike a cheapo tshirt. The rucksack however is a great find as women will be wearing a lot of suede this season so it's a chance for you to have a little matching thing going (and I bet it feels amazing). I do love mi-pacs they're so relevant and look amazing on a guy well any rucksack for that matter. I hope you like my little picks for valentines day and all have a lovely one, single or not everyone should have chocolates!

Ballet Athletic Brief

So been away for a while doing a group task at university about trends. Basically my group was given a title and some key words to go with it to create a trend package to present to our tutors. The title was BALLET ATHLETIC with some key words of: EDGE, SPORT, SUBTLE, UNSTRUCTURED LINES. We also had a bland colour palette of greys, blues, nudes and browns. Not much really but it's what we had to work with. Our first thought was Alexander Wang H&M collection which is sporty but also tight fitting and grey but contained a lot of black. We researched into ballet both romantic and contemporary and came to the conclusion that contemporary was more our thing. We had to come up with a trend board on our studio wall of research we had come up with for a potential shoot or two. Another factor that we first thought about was the new SIA video for elastic heart because of the recognition of dance and relationship between male and female which went well as we was showing both male and female clothing.
After we had come up with different things that reminded us of the words we had been given the group had to start thinking about what our shoot was going to look like. We had to also take into consideration makeup and hair, for the hair the girls and I decided that the best thing to do would be braids and a bun (by this point the decision was two shoots not one) as this represents the two types of sport/activities we were meant to be looking into but also using them because people have their hair like that day-to-day.
With the makeup it was quite easy to fit with our colour palette of brown and greys because the group was thinking of keeping it very natural to show the athletic side as people don't do exercise in makeup, or with hair in their face for that matter ( reason for braids and buns)
After debating on some design ideas for makeup I created some mock ups on illustrator baring in mind this was the first time I had done digital mac faces.

When doing the shoot we had a great time doing hair and makeup getting the male and female model ready. I brought my camera so all the photos taken were my own work and some actually came out really well which helped the group. Some of the first edits came out really well.

We used for this shoot:
FEMALE
- Grey Alexander Wang scuba top - H&M
- Blue high neck scuba cropped jumper - H&M
- Black gym cropped leggings with slits - Primark
- Grey trainers - Primark
-Black and white money crop top - This Is A Love Song

MALE
-Black scuba jacket - Zara
-Black mesh shorts - Primark
-White Mesh Top - Topman
-Cream mesh string vest - Topman
- Black and white Adidas trainers - Adidas

During our second shoot we had a ballerina around and about in some places stretching and going on pointe just to show the ballerina side as there wasn't much but the bandages relevant to ballet in the previous shoot.

Model wears black Alexander Wang long top

We also then put together a small trend package with final images in and a some style guides in to complete the task.
The task was a really good one and the outcomes we had as a group were really good too, we did a fab presentation and the tutors loved it, first triumph for uni yey!
