ULTRABROWS

So finally I've been able to get my hands on ULTRABROWS from makeup revolution. I've been wanting this in medium to dark shade for so long, I was getting a bit desperate when I was going into Superdrug twice a week ATLEAST looking for it! I didn't get it online though because apparently  they were sending out the lighter shades because the darker one had just totally sold out. BUT luckily on a wim I found the last one in my local Superdrug the other day and it was only £6!

Amazingly simple packaging in my eyes with a cute little diagram of what's in it on the back! All good so far!

A cute little shiny box all sleek and new looking! (Won't stay like that for long knowing me) but still amazing to look at! And looks more expensive than £6!!!

So what do you get for your £6 I hear you ask...
Well.. 4 mixable eyebrow shades, 2 eyebrow fixing waxes, a highlighter powder, a highlighting fix wax, an eyebrow pencil, 2 brushes and a pair of tweezers..
AMAZING? I KNOW RIGHT! I was just as shocked, especially when you see the standard! cheap makeup can sometimes be diluted and less pigmented than some of the more expensive brands but as this brand does more 'dupe' items the quality in my eyes is just as good as the more expensive brands for just a lower more affordable price.

My eye brows do need shaping and sorting out but I couldn't wait to use it! And I haven't applied any filters to my images so you can see what it's actually like without everyone's friend Valencia!

Bare in mind also this is the first time I've used this new thing so I'm
Still learning where everything goes and I am not a makeup expert I just like to buy it every now and again! So from 1 learning makeup enthusiast to another I hope you one this helpful!
I do think it's definitely worth the money as I was doing research on other brow sets because I never thought I'd get this one and for the large range of prices the sets are SO SMALL! This palette is very pigmented and the brushes work a treat, the highlighter has a pink tinge to it which looks amazing with most eyeshadows so I would definitely recommend to everyone if you want to have a practice at eyebrow techniques and not paying a fortune!

THANKS X

A DAY OF AA AND COLOUR

[Two Piece - American Apparel (discontinued)]
[Sunglasses - Boohoo.com]
[Shoes - Topshop (SALE)]
[Lipstick - Makeup Revolution]

I've already done a post with this outfit a while ago but it does deserve more recognition as it is an amazing piece! Bought from AA in Leeds for my 20th in April I got it just in time but they only had size larges left. Fortunately it fit me better than I thought it would and it was the last one so I had to have it! and to top it off I couldn't resist wearing my boohoo cat eye sunglasses. I literally wear them every day with everything!
Also sporting the miley buns which match the wall in this fab colourful area of derelict land! I thought this outfit would be a bit of fun and includes the very "IN" vertical stripes to make me look taller than the small 5'6 I actually am, also helped by the platform shoes from Topshop sale £15 which I love! (especially when I get an extra 10% off because I am a student!)
I wanted my lipstick to match my shoes so as I don't have a bag so I used a dark vamp shade makeup revolution lipstick thats £1 from superdrug which is very close to the blackness of the shoes to fill up the look!

I will be putting this outfit on my depop as I don't have room for it anymore. So if you wish to buy my depop is @annahodgson and there is lots of stuff on there to buy!

Thanks for reading

PEACE XO

TATTY DEVINE SELFRIDGES LONDON

How amazing is this necklace!? I am in love!

After my poor Marc Jacobs bangle breaking I received a £45 gift card instead of a refund and online a few weeks later was on the Tatty Devine website and saw the most amazing necklace designs! I've always wanted a personalised necklace thats better than just my little cord name choker but didn't have the money to buy one online (how sad is life) but when I took the trip to London at the weekend I had the EUREKA moment at the fact there is a tatty devine stall in Selfridges Oxford Street.

It took SO long deciding what colours and styles I wanted I bet the women working there were getting fed up of my indecisiveness! After the women being so helpful and showing me a million possible designs and sizes etc. I decided on simplicity goes a long way. I wanted something I could wear whenever wherever and because it was going to cost me £47.50 I didn't want it to be something that just goes out of fashion within the next 6 months because they're so adorable. So silver and black glitter won my vote in the Ladybug font.  I got the larger size as I wanted it to be the first thing people saw on my outfit because it's just so perfect!

The fact I only had to pay £2.50 of my own money towards it which is such a pretend bargain of the year! You will be seeing it a lot in my future blog posts and probably all over my instagram so I thought I'd take a few photographs of my newbie for you all to lay eyes on! and also a little photo from my instagram (@annahodgson)

I recommend these necklaces to anyone they're so worth the money I can't wait to share loads of memories with mine because I love it SO SO SO much! and hope if anyone buys one you do too!

BUT

If anyone does have a tatty devine piece I'd love to know what other people have and the styles they chose so please comment below i'd love to be nosey into what other people have!

Thank you for reading!

Rockin' Summer

I wanted to do a summery–ish styled post and I thought it would be a great time to try my new £1 floral leotard from PRIMARK.  It’s inspired by a gothic rock summer because of all the music I was listening too yesterday, BVB, slipknot, Metallica, ACDC and loads of other rock/metal bands (which I am a big fan of may I add)
I do need to start posting more about my own style as I have so many clothes I want to show people and wear in more ways. I will try and post a lot more frequently because I like to at least think someone is reading what I’m posting.

Todays outfit isn’t very casual it’s more of an event outfit or possibly festival, would look fab paired with some glittery wellies.  I decided to go for a maxi sheer dress because you can wear almost anything or nothing under it and wear for different occasions; dress up or down it’s from PRETTY LITTLE THING (£5). The reason for the miley buns is purely a quick fix for greasy hair and for extra greasy (like mine this morning) a bit of sparkle glitter paste from TOPSHOP (£1) does wonders! The boots are form EBAY CHINA (£13) a cute present from my boyf at Christmas. The lipstick is STARGAZER (£2.50) mixed with MUA black lipstick from SUPERDRUG (£1). The cute little bindi is from CAMDEN MARKET (£1) and hoops set of 5 sizes from PRIMARK (£1) these earrings have lasted me years and are such a fab buy!! (Y) I hand made the elastic choker necklace with the pendant from EBAY, the tattoo chokers are from EBAY too. And finally my sunglasses are MOSCHINO from TKMAXX (£12) bargain buy I am in love with them and cant wait to give them a good running this summer!

I hope you like my post and thank you for reading, if you want to ask me any questions feel free to comment or get in contact don’t forget to follow me on social media showing off work that I do as a fashion comms student and are happy to do work for people.
